A data logger is an important part of any cold chain management solution. The ability to record temperature at specific intervals during transport helps to determine if a shipment of produce, meat, dairy, vaccines, pharmaceuticals or adhesives should be accepted or rejected. Data recorded during storage can help determine if a temperature-senstive commodity is being stored at its optimum temperature for freshness or efficacy. The data produced can be used as evidence in loss claims resulting from temperature excursions druing transport or storage. All of DeltaTRAK's FlashLink Data Loggers include the unique Shadow Log® feature. Shadow Log is activated as soon as it released from the manufacturing process at the factory and the logger begins recording data. Temperature data is recorded every 30 minutes, even if the shipper fails to activate the logger. Once the logger is activated, the Shadow Log data is cleared from memory and the logger starts to record data at the pre-set intervals and temperature limits. The logger arrives with temperature history data every time.
