ThermoTrace TTI labels

DeltaTRAK’s cold chain solution includes the ThermoTrace TTI labels and the ThermoTrace TTI Alert Service. The TTI label is a low cost single-use barcode label that supports a variety of temperature abuse events. Based on a proven (non-toxic) chemical process, it changes the barcode as it tracks up to three levels of cumulative temperature abuse above the threshold temperature stated on the label. This dynamic process is captured in real time with every scan done by a barcode reader.

Customers who purchase labels but do not subscribe to the ThermoTrace TTI Alert Service will only receive pre-configured feedback messages on the scanner. They will not receive any alert messages by email or SMS text.

DeltaTRAK currently offers two label models. These models are part number 55100 with a 32°F (0°C) temperature thrshold limit and part number 55101 with a 41°F (5°C) temperature threshold limit. The labels are designed to change the valid barcode reading when the product has reached 3 separate cumulative abuse events. There is only one valid barcode at any point in time. For the 32°F label, the first change occurs when the product has been subjected to 2 hours of accumulated abuse above threshold, the second at 4 hours of accumulated abuse and the final change at 6 hours of accumluated abuse. This label would typically be used for frozen commodities such as meat, seafood or chicken that requires lower temperatures.

The 41°F label tracks cumulative time the product spends above threshold. With this label the barcode changes first at 1 hour of accumulated abuse, then subsequently at 3 hours and finally 5 hours of accumulated abuse. This label would typically be used for commodities such as produce, chemicals or pharmaceuticals that can tolerate a slightly higher temperature.
