Supplier Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage new supplier qualification process, including initial assessment, qualification production runs, and risk assessment / mitigation plans.
• Maintain clear communications with the supplier(s) to ensure an uninterrupted manufacturing and delivery cycle.
• Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with Company standards and industry regulations.
• Provide day-to-day support for issues impacting quality and delivery performance.
• Communicate and ensure implementation of relevant Engineering Change notifications.
• Establish and maintain appropriate KPI’s related to supplier quality and delivery performance.
• Lead root cause analysis for supplier related non-conformances, and ensure appropriate countermeasures are implemented.
• Ensure Company provided materials meet the acceptable quality level prior to consumption.
• Assist in developing and improving supplier processes, including quality control plans and production procedures.
• Assist in supplier training initiatives related to in-process / final QC inspection protocols.
• Manage the Hold & Disposition process for all out of spec product / materials.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DeltaTrak is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent analytical and technical skills to join our fast-paced team. Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications / skills:

• BSEE or other technical degree – An equivalent combination of education/experience may be substituted.
• 3-4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or other related roles.
• Hands-on experience with supplier auditing and quality improvement processes.
• SMT manufacturing knowledge desirable.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools (ISO 9001, 5S, 8D, FMEA, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Fluency in Spanish/English.
